Greetings! Welcome to my little piece of the world wide web. I started this website to learn HTML. Over the years it has evolved into a great way to keep in touch with friends and family.
I used to write lots of long chatty letters. I enjoyed sending and receiving mail and eagerly awaited the coming of the postman. Years of using my hands for keyboarding, crafts, and music have left me a bit less dextrous and grateful for a way to communicate electronically. Ironically, I don't often use the cellphone for text messaging as the keys are too mall for my eyes and hands.
Now I've taken up blogging. Check me out at my blog
I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on. At present, I'm rereading ITIL Service Management and ITIL Service Delivery in preparation for a certification exam. It's heavy going as I normally don't pursue a book that doesn't hold my interest after the first few pages. Study is much different from pleasure reading.
Other hobbies include crochet, knitting, and quilting. If you want to exchange a pattern or tips, ICQ me below.
Lately, I've been learning more about "greener" ways of living.I am hoping to build a house one of these days that benefits from what we've learned about alternate energy sources and natural elements. The Enertia Home is something that has really impressed me. While I haven't actually seen one in person yet, I very much like where they are going. An energy sparing design for homes that employ "green", earth-friendly siting and design features to use less energy.
Another intriguing group is Backwoods Solar Electric Systems. Check them out if you live in a sunny area. I know I was surprised at how affordable solar electricity could be.
I play at golf. Sacramento is a great golf location... lots of courses. I currently belong to two local clubs: Capitol Kagero Golf Club and Carmichael Golf Club.
My home life is all about family and friends. My husband is a partner in a consulting firm, Public Sector Consultants, Inc., which offers a variety of consulting services to public and private organizations.
We are loved by numerous siblings, neices and nephews and grand nephews, and two Great Danes. Check out the Puppy Cam 2008.
